Notes
After some searching they found out that Joe Satriani (JS) was available and offered him the job. He accepted and joined up for rehearsals in Japan where they 'jammed' in a new set-list. DEEP PURPLE finished the last six dates of the world tour in Japan with great success, and JS was accepted by the fans. In fact it worked out that well, JS was offered the job again as 'guest guitarist', when DEEP PURPLE hit the road on their Euro summer tour of 1994.
After some rearrangement of the Euro 1994 tour, DEEP PURPLE headlined the Esbjerg 'Rock Festival' in Denmark 4th of June, as the third date of the tour. The open-air festival was held for the fourth time (earlier called the 'Glam Rock Festival') and opened at 12.00 am with Suzi Quatro followed by Steve Harley, Bonnie Tyler, ELO (ll), Status Quo and Smokie before DEEP PURPLE came on and completed the festival after midnight in front of a crowd of 25,000 - ending up with fireworks. Because of a busy festival schedule, DEEP PURPLE had to cut their set short.
The missing part of the regular set + encore numbers have been added from DEEP PURPLE's two other Scandinavian performances at Karlshamn 'Summer Festival' in Sweden 10th of June + Speed King from Goteborg 'All Star Festival' the 11th of June. Enjoy more than 150 minutes of listening pleasure!
