From the Anthology CD: CLOUDS RACE ACROSS THE SKY: This was originally tilled "As They Sleep," referring to watching my wife and son soundly sleeping while I lay awake having metaphysical questions race through my head. Our lives pass by so quickly. A lifetime is simply not enough time to share with your loved ones, but there it is. I changed the title one day while I was working on the song, playing on an old Martin acoustic on my back porch, watching the clouds above me race by, seemingly out of sync with me and my life. I love this recording and the memory of working on it with Eric.
