From the Anthology CD: RUBINA: This is a very special song for me on so many levels. When you write a song for the one you love you have an extra obligation to get it right emotionally as well as technically. I used specially tuned rhythm guitars playing only harmonics for the chord progression to create a delicate landscape where I could place a beautiful melody and solo. Jeff, John and me set out all the percussion instruments we had on a big table and recorded ourselves walking around it, playing various instruments for a few bars at a time, then putting them down to pick up and play another. This improvised stereo track added a unique, evolving dimension to the song. All in all, it added up to be my message of love to Rubina.
